Managing your events is effortless thanks to a wide range of customization options built into Membee. With full control of your events, you can customize how your events will appear, just to perfectly match your website. There are various promotion methods that make it easy for members or non-members to find your events as well through your site. So we’re, what we’re going to cover today is we’re going to look at how events will appear on your site and the different ways you can promote events through your site. And then also we’ll look at the display of an event page and what customization options there are there. First, when it comes to inputting the event feature right onto your website, you can actually do that by going into the event widget and being able to pull the script for the event widget. As long as you can create a page on your site, you can copy that script that we provide, paste in that script onto that page in HTML format, and then the event widget will appear right onto your site. From there, you would manage events right from Membee system itself. For example, if I open this page here, I can see my event widget, which is now displaying a calendar. There are two different types of views here that will, that it’ll land on. The first one being the calendar view and the second being a list view. The calendar view here allows you to see exactly what it looks like events within the calendar and per month. And there is a category option where you can set a main category per event and then set the specific color code for that category. So for example, if I flip to the next month, I can see I have the respective conferences category and it’s in a little bit of a purple. So that also updates within the legend. We also allow the featured events to display. So this section pretty much promotes highlighted or kind of events that you want to really spotlight. So then it’s quick access towards these events. If the calendar just doesn’t do much justice because you have a ton of events going on at once and it’ll just look way too cluttered, you can actually change your default view of the event widget to be the list view that I was talking about. So this is a list view here and I can see I got my featured events on the very top here. So the ones I want to highlight and then the list of upcoming events in chronological order. And if you haven’t enabled the list of past events list gives the visitor a good idea of what events you’ve hosted previously. So then they can kind of anticipate what’s gonna be kept upcoming within the next year as well. In the event widget, there is the ability to do an advanced search. So that advanced search option allows them to use a keyword or text to find a particular event, or they can also use the built-in filters here, like category, location, city, state and province, and also the event date range. This is really helpful in the case that the visitor might have some form of information about the event but they don’t know where to get to the event. They can use a search and enter in some filters and then when they click search, get some results and find the particular event that they’re looking for. There are some other promotion options within the event, region. So if you go into list page for example, this is a homepage of a site and your event wants to be displayed or your list of events can be displayed on any page on your site. But in this case here, from what you see, this is actually what we call the event feed. So this featured event feed lists off all those ones I’ve selected as upcoming featured ones and I’ve set it to only display five. This is always dynamic, so it’s always going to be displaying the most upcoming events. And for example, if this event was on September 23rd and now today’s date it passes, it’s now September 24th, this event gets removed from your event feed so you can’t see any more and it’s only displaying the ones that are upcoming. Same idea. If I add a new event within this date range, it would then be placed into this event feed so I can quickly get to it as well. Event feeds always have the option for you to set, you know, a specific category or location as well. So it could pull events that meet that specific criteria and then you can use it for anywhere on your page or on your website as a page for you know, all education events that are upcoming. That sort of idea there is the ability to display the event feed on something like a sidebar too. So here’s an example of one where in this sidebar I have a list of featured events as well. So anywhere under site that you want to display an event feed that just feels like it’s an appropriate time to promote your event, you can throw that into there and it will display through the event feed, script essentially. Now if I go to a event page, this is the event page itself, but every time you generate an event, a unique link is created automatically. So you can easily promote it and communicate it. You can throw it into your, uh, MailChimp or constant contact campaigns. You can add it to social media, a button on your website or even in this case, for example, I’ve added it to my menu option ’cause I really wanna promote this event. Every time you create an event, you do not need to create an event widget. The event widget, you just enter it once and you manage all events. In Membee you can have one single event widget and 10 or even 50 different events in a year and all of it will display through that singular event widget. So easy integration to set up and then managing the event would just happen inside of Membee system. On the event page itself, there’s Some some customization options when and where the event is a description area. So this detail section here allows me to use that built in user friendly editor and that allows me to add images such as graphics, flyers, um, headshot images of, uh, keynote speakers. For example, it is HTML friendly so you can embed YouTube videos if you have a promo video for example, you can add it right into your event description here and then the visitor can play it right within this event page. Other customization options allow you to customize the title of each of these sections. So if something like, if you don’t want it to be the details, you can change it to, you know, event description or anything like that. Um, where when it is sponsors all of these different sections you can always, uh, retitle and then also you can reorder them as well. So if this image carousel or highlights of an event, you want to add it to the very top instead you can actually reorder the section very easily. And then if you don’t even want the section to appear, you can easily turn it off or turn it back on with a quick checkbox. Lastly, with your event pages, there’s a ton of styling capabilities that are built in, but you can match the style of the event pages or event calendar to match your site. So you can augment a bit of your branding into there and if you have kind of an in-house web developer or anyone who’s familiar with CSS, there is advanced styling with CSS. So we welcome that and that would allow you to further customize it to them, better suit and match your site as if we don’t even exist. It’s just part of your site, and integrated right into there.
