How Does It Work?
Online payment processing allows your members to pay online by credit card for:
- Automated Membership Payments using Membee’s Card Vault feature
- Renewal Billing
- Online Event Registrations
- New Member Sign-Ups
There are essentially three steps to complete to set up and connect a payment gateway with Membee.
- Sign up for an account with a supported payment gateway provider and connect it with Membee.
- Set up the types of payments that you will accept online (this includes defining the types of credit cards you accept).
- Test your setup.

- Note: If you have an existing PayPal login, you can use the PayPal login credentials to log in. This will not link your PayPal and Braintree accounts in any way, but it provides the convenience of using one set of login credentials.
- You will still be able to offer PayPal as a payment option.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards designed and enforced to safely secure payment data for all merchants and vendors. All credit card data is processed by your chosen payment gateway. However, Membee has taken the extra step to be secured and PCI Compliant.
